Ashton Graham sponsors Old Buckenham Hall School
7s rugby tournament
On Sunday 25 November Old Buckenham Hall School at Brettenham organised
a hugely
successful rugby tournament for schools from across the region. The tournament,
which was sponsored by Ashton Graham, was in its second year following the success
of the event
in 2006.
A total of 16 teams took part in two age groups: the under 13s and
under 11s. Playing for the Ashton Graham Cup, the final for the under 13s
was won by Ipswich School in a closely fought game against Holmwood House School.
In the under 11s, St Joseph's School took the honours by narrowly beating Old Buckenham Hall
School.
Matthew Potter head of the Employment Department at Ashton Graham
commented, 'The standard of rugby played on the day was extremely high and I was
very
impressed by the sportsmanship and camaraderie shown by all the young boys.
We were delighted to be associated with the day and I can see that the tournament
can only go from strength to strength in future years'
Old Buckenham Hall School is an independent day and boarding school
for boys and girls aged between seven and thirteen.
