Ashton Graham Solicitors and DanceEast host an evening reception at The Athenaeum,
Bury St Edmunds.
An evening, of drinks, canapés and dance, helped DanceEast raise their profile in
the Bury St Edmunds area and West Suffolk, and encouraged people to support the
organisation with their fundraising activities to build the new DanceHouse on the
Waterfront in Ipswich.

very close to its target of £7.9M, with only £400,000 still to raise. The new DanceHouse
expects to open its door in early 2009 and provide a fantastic new space for local,
national and international dancers, companies and choreographers to perform and
rehearse. It will also provide facilities for people of all ages and abilities to
become involved in dance.
During the reception, guests were treated to a performance from the Bury Dance Company
and also Madame Galina, The New Force’s Sweetheart – a performance that will certainly
stick in people’s memories!
Mark Merriam, Managing Partner from Ashton Graham commented ‘We are really pleased to be helping DanceEast by hosting the reception. It will enable people to appreciate
the level of activity that DanceEast already deliver in the
local community and
will also inform people about their exciting plans for a permanent dance facility
in Ipswich’
He continued ‘When the DanceHouse is complete, DanceEast will be neighbours to us
on The Waterfront in Ipswich and I’m sure we will all be watching with interest
as the building develops. As a firm, we are keen to support local arts organisations
and our link with DanceEast is one I am very positive about’
