In the pink for charity!

Employees from across the three Ashton Graham offices spent last Friday 26 October dressed in a variety of shades of pink, to raise funds for the charity Breast Cancer Campaign.

With October being Breast Cancer Awareness Month, the ‘wear it pink’ day was a nationally organised day where people were encouraged to wear an item of pink clothing and make a donation to the charity.

In total, the firm made just under £500 and whilst there was a serious side to the fund raising, everyone enjoyed themselves during the day. Practice Manager Keven Mulley

commented, “There certainly were some interesting sights to be seen that day! One of our partners wore his pink bobble hat and another had an incredibly bright pair of pink socks on – I needed sunglasses to look at them! I also spotted a number of pink boas in the office and of course many of the gentlemen wore pink shirts and ties”.

He continued “As well as the items of clothing, some of our employees made pink cakes to sell and we ran a raffle in one of the offices to win a wonderfully iced fruit cake. Sadly I didn’t win!” He concluded, “Talking to people, it seems that many of our employees have been touched in one way or another by this terrible disease and this was one way of trying to do something positive to help the charity in their battle with the diagnosis, prevention and cure of breast cancer.”

Ashton Graham has three offices along the A14, in Bury St Edmunds, Ipswich and Felixstowe.
