Ashton Graham are committed to working with the local business and non business communities. We actively support a variety of different initiatives and Charities in the local area. In 2005, Ashton Graham was awarded the newly established Community Mark. Below are just a few examples of Ashton Graham's involvement in the local community.

Suffolk ProHelp

Keven Mulley, Practice Manager at Ashton Graham, is a founder member of the group and currently chairman of the Suffolk ProHelp group. Suffolk ProHelp is part of a national network of 1,000 professional firms that provided more than £6 million worth of free advice and support to community groups and voluntary organisations across the UK in the past year. Suffolk ProHelp now has 27 member firms and since its formation has helped various groups in different ways - advising on planning matters, lease agreements, legal contracts and taking on accountancy and business planning roles. Community groups have also recently benefited from free advice on HR issues, PR and marketing support, property searches and surveying work.

BALE Award (Best Alternative Land Enterprise)

The Suffolk Agricultural Association has run this prestigious annual award in conjunction with Ashton Graham for over 10 years. The aim of the competition is to find the region's best farming diversification business.

Rehab Suffolk

Neil Cawthorn, a consultant with Ashton Graham specialising in personal injury, is also a director and trustee of Rehab Suffolk, a registered charity promoting pathways of care for the brain injured. Ashton Graham are proud to support Rehab Suffolk and their commitment to ensuring those with brain injuries and their families are cared for and supported within their local community.

FWAG (Farming & Wildlife Advisory Group)

Ashton Graham aim to work closely with FWAG to ensure local farmers receive practical advise on the latest legal legislation.

Theatre Royal Bury St Edmunds

For the last five years Ashton Graham have been the sponsors of the in-house production at the Theatre Royal. This years production was a new Sherlock Holmes mystery Sherlock Holmes: The Athenaeum Ghoul, which was specially written by Theatre Royal Writer-in-Residence, Carl Miller and sponsored by Ashton Graham. Following its premiere in Bury St Edmunds in September 2005 the production toured 13 venues across the UK, from Kendall to Exeter.

Arts & Business

As a result of the continued support of the Arts and in particular The Theatre Royal, Ashton Graham were awarded funding in 2005 to hold a series of innovative training sessions involving The Theatre Royal and a company called Theatre Active. Workshops were held at Waterfront House where staff were the directors of actors - manipulating their characters behaviour to see the effects on others.
